How it works

How to use the colour picker from image

Clients often send a low-quality logo or a screenshot and ask you to “match the brand colour”. Open it here, click the colour and the HEX code is copied, ready to paste into Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator or CSS. Click a few spots on JPG logos, since compression can shift edge colours slightly.

The automatic palette groups similar pixels and lists the six most common distinct colours, which is a quick start for a brand board or matching a post to a product photo. Pair it with the colour palette generator for tints and shades.

  1. Choose an image.
  2. Click the colour you want; HEX is copied.
  3. Copy RGB or the full 6-colour palette.
  4. Repeat to collect several picks.

FAQ

Questions about this tool

How do I find the HEX code of a logo colour?

Open the logo here and click the colour; the HEX and RGB codes appear and the HEX is copied.

Why is the colour slightly different from the brand guide?

JPG compression and screenshots alter colours a little. Use the official brand file when it exists.

Can I get CMYK?

Not here. Screen-to-print conversion depends on the printer's profile, so ask your printer or convert in your design software.

Is the image uploaded?

No. It's read in your browser only.
