How to use the image format converter
Use PNG for logos, graphics and anything with transparency, JPG for photos people will open anywhere, and WebP for websites where file size matters. Downloaded a WebP from a website that won't open in your editor? Convert it to PNG here.
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default). Converting doesn't add quality: a blurry JPG stays blurry as PNG. For that, try the AI photo enhancer.

Questions about this tool
Can it convert HEIC iPhone photos?
Only if your browser can open HEIC (Safari on Mac and iPhone can). Otherwise share the photo as 'Most Compatible' JPG from the iPhone first.
Will PNG to JPG keep transparency?
No, JPG can't store transparency. Transparent parts are filled with your chosen background colour.
Is WebP supported everywhere?
All current browsers support WebP. Some older desktop software doesn't, so convert to PNG or JPG for those.
Are files uploaded?
