How it works

How to use the image cropper & resizer

Pick a preset and the photo is crop-filled to that shape at the standard size: 1080×1080 for square posts, 1080×1350 for 4:5 portrait feed posts, 1080×1920 for Stories, Reels and Shorts, and 1920×1080 for YouTube thumbnails and 16:9 video. Use Zoom and the two position sliders to choose which part of the photo stays in frame.

Choose Custom to type any width and height in pixels, for example 600×600 for a passport-style form photo or 1200×628 for a link preview. Upscaling a small photo to a bigger size can look soft; the social media image resizer is handy when you need several platform sizes at once.

  1. Choose a photo.
  2. Pick an aspect preset or type custom width and height.
  3. Zoom and slide to frame the subject.
  4. Download as JPG, PNG or WebP.
