How to use the video thumbnail grabber
Pausing and taking a phone screenshot gives you a small image with player controls on top. This tool draws the actual video frame at the video's full resolution, so a 4K clip gives a 3840×2160 still that's ready for a YouTube thumbnail, poster or client approval.

What resolution is the saved frame?
The video's own resolution, for example 1920×1080 for a Full HD clip.
Why won't my video load?
Your browser can't decode that codec. MP4 (H.264) and WebM work everywhere; HEVC/MOV may only work in Safari.
Can I grab a frame from a YouTube link?
No. It works on video files on your device, so you only grab frames from footage you have.
Is the video uploaded?
No. It plays locally in your browser.
