How to use the quotation maker
A good quotation removes doubt before work starts. It names who it's for, lists each item or service with quantity and rate, shows the tax, states how long the price is valid and sets out payment terms such as an advance. Clients compare quotes side by side, so a tidy, branded layout helps you win the job.
This maker uses the same engine as the GST invoice generator: choose your state and the client's state and it applies CGST + SGST or IGST automatically, adds any discount before tax and writes the total in words. Edit the terms box with your own conditions, for example delivery time, number of revisions or what is not included.
Everything happens in your browser, and the draft stays on your device so you can come back and adjust it. When the client accepts, open the invoice generator and copy the items across. Prices and terms are yours; this tool never adds or suggests rates.

What is the difference between a quotation and an invoice?
A quotation is an offer before work starts; an invoice is a demand for payment after the sale. A quote is not a tax document.

How long should a quote be valid?
Commonly 7 to 30 days, depending on how quickly your costs change. Set it in the Valid until field.
